Tiger 800 tackles APC Rally

APC 150Respected Triumph rider, Brendan Roberts, recently took part in the increasingly popular APC Rally.

The rally was designed for bike riders who wanted an adventure and not a race. The event was held from July 28 until August 10, with 14 days riding on a course of approximately 7100km in length.

Round the world travellers arrive in Australia

2ridetheworld150After nine years, 360,000, 76 countries and countless adventures, Simon and Lisa Thomas of 2RideTheWorld have arrived in Australia.

The English couple will visit us at our Touratech Australia headquarters in Victoria later this year, and have given us this update on their round the world motorcycle journey!

The Hard Way for Camp Quality

Matt Shultz The Hard WayMatt Shultz has embarked on a ride that he's calling "The Hard Way", to assist in raising much need funds for Camp Quality and the children and their families living with the debilitating disease cancer.

For 2012, The Hard Way event will be an extremely challenging outback motoring adventure on ex-Australian Army 1991 Yamaha XT600 motorbikes. Over the 18 days of the event Matt and Brent Tanzer will ride through the rugged terrain of outback Queensland, the Northern Territory, New South Wales, South Australia and Victoria.

Martin Brucker visits Touratech Australia

Martin BruckerTouratech Australia recently had a visit from Martin Brucker, who is currently travelling Australia as part of his world tour.

With support from Touratech Germany and Touratech Australia, Martin rode away from our Victorian headquarters in a brand new Companero riding suit.

Ducati Multistrada 'Adventure' edition by Touratech USA

multistrada-adv_1When a local Ducati dealer called Touratech-USA and asked them to transform a new Multistrada 1200s into the ultimate adventure motorcycle, the guys in the shop were giddy with excitement. A few weeks later a gorgeous machine rolled out of the Touratech shop.

Adventure Travel Film Festival a big success

sand-dune-150Touratech Australia were one of the key exhibitors at the first Australian Adventure Travel Film Festival, held in the beautiful tourist town of Bright in north east Victoria late in February.

The festival feature some of the world’s finest and rarest travel movies, and was hosted by British adventurers, film-maker Austin Vince and travel author Lois Pryce.

The Adventure Travel Film Festival has graced the UK and the USA, but this was its first trip Down Under, and it proved to be a huge success.
