Hard Part LA R1150GS Silver

Same as 040-1303 except silver plus clear coat to match BMW frame color.

The steering stop of the R1150GS is also prone to break after a heavy fall: You will know this from the R1100GS. Nothing has changed. In case of extreme stress on the handlebars (falling down...), the steering stop breaks and the fork will dent the tank. It is a time-consuming job to replace the yoke and the tank is expensive as well. On the 1150 the brake line must be restrained or it can be crushed in the event of a fall. This hard part comes with an additional support that protects the brake line.

Because the Adventure is a little higher (20mm) it is necessary to use 040-1317 for the GS Adventure.

040-1317 is same except it has an articulated brake line support.
