Australian dust is savage, and many original equipment air filters are simply not up to keeping it at bay. We advise everyone to check the carb/injector boots of their bikes for dust contamination and if they find any, switch to a Unifilter.

If dust is getting past the stock filter, whether through the element or via the join between the filter and the airbox, your valves, piston, bore and rings are all at risk. As well as this, many standard filters have paper elements which are quickly destroyed by water.

Dropping a bike with such a filter in a creek has serious ramifications, especially when you’re a long way from your nearest dealer.

Unifilter filters come in a range of configurations including single- and dual-density foam, with and without prefilters. They also fit most popular models, with the exception of the LC8 range which, because of the complex airbox design, are limited to prefilters only.
