State-of-the-art HID lighting technology for your R1200RT. Very bright HID xenon high beam driving light for considerably safer driving at night. The xenon light is activated by a relay triggered by the high beam and provides 3x the light of the stock high beam.

All Touratech HID xenon lights come with an HID ballast that has specially reinforced circuitry for use on a motorcycle. This special feature is only available from Touratech and ensures that your HID lighting system (which includes the ballast that fires the bulb at 20,000 volts) will stand up to the rigors of use on a long-distance large-twin touring motorcycle.

Startup power requirement is about 90W but stabilizes at about 60W sustained draw after a few seconds.
