The steering stop on the R1100S may break after a heavy fall: In case of extreme stress on the handlebar, the steering stop can break. (It is a time-consuming and quite expensive job to replace the whole yoke.) The yoke or handlebar can also damage tank and fairings. The brake lines can also be damaged. This Hard Part also protects the brake line. The LA R1100S Hard Part is also sucessfully used at BMW-Boxer Cup races! |
